If I needed to illustrate why I usually stay away from hip hop productions, except from grandmasters such as Outkast, Snoop Dog, Cypress Hill and Eminem, among others, there wouldn't be a better example than this album from the Likwit Junkies.
Despite a few good bits here and there and a sometime appealing 70's vibe, this CD built on unoriginal sounds and forgettable melodies mostly suffers from lyrics that are so clichéd and idiotic that many times they provoked unintentional laughs as I was listening to it.
Filled with the usual diatribes about "bitches", California, ghettos, being tough and the astounding sizes of their "member", these are the kinds of songs where you can easily imagine the videos, with two mean-looking guys rapping in front of their car and surrounded by girls shaking their booties.
Past the 17 tracks, you can even listen to "The Interview", an ode about their self-proclaimed artistic talent, which closes the album - for another good laugh.
