Jimmy James Jamestown review
|
Jimmy James' Jonestown is the type of music that I assume must be a fave in West-Hollywood clubs, lead by flamboyant dancefloor hit "Fashionista". To get an idea, James, who has performed with a string of divas such as Patti Labelle, Debbie Harry, Boy George and Elton John, could be compared to a dance-version of Marc Almond. The good news is that, despite the fact that I don't like Dance music, this undoubtedly strikes me as quality dance, since the album is built on great production value, strong songs, filled with decent electronic sounds and lead by James' distinctive voice. Jamestown proves that Dance is not only synonymous for commercial garbage.
