Sounds Like Sex 2 review
|
Even though I hadn't heard of the original Sounds Like Sexthe CD not the actual sound it refers to, which must have been successful enough to generate a sequel, I was pleasantly surprised listening to that collection of songs, which all work well at creating an enveloping ambiance. The success of this album is partly due to the presence of good female vocalistsincluding Angela McCluskey of Telepopmusik's fame, which make these songs not only stand out but also memorable, thus transcending this collection of tracks way beyond its natural status as background music. Who knows, next time I bring a girl back to my beach pad, I might even give Sounds Like Sex 2 a spin, as an interlude between the two usual Nouvelle Vague CDs.
